BlockBuddy is an educational app that teaches you about cryptocurrency in plain English. Daily micro-lessons, quizzes, scam-spotting practice, and plain-English explainers for the wallet messages people get stuck on.
BlockBuddy is education only. It is not a wallet, not a trading app, and never gives financial advice.
Is BlockBuddy free? Yes. The current version is completely free. Future versions may introduce optional paid features — those will be clearly described before any purchase.
Why does the app ask me to sign in? A sign-in (Sign in with Apple or email) is what lets your XP, streaks, and lesson progress sync across devices and survive a reinstall.
How do I delete my account and all my data? Open the app → Profile → Delete my account & data. This permanently removes your account and all associated data from our servers.
Can BlockBuddy lose my crypto? No. BlockBuddy never connects to a wallet, never holds keys, and never moves funds. It is purely an educational app.
How does “Explain this” work, and where does my text go? When you paste text (or scan a screenshot), the text is sent to our servers and then to an AI provider — OpenAI, or Anthropic as a backup — which writes the plain-English explanation. If you scan a screenshot, the image stays on your device; only the text it contains is sent. You get 3 free explanations per day. If you’re offline or our service is unreachable, the app falls back to a small built-in explainer that runs entirely on your device — its answers are more general. Please never paste your recovery phrase, seed words, or private keys — into BlockBuddy or anywhere else. No legitimate service ever needs them.
Is BlockBuddy’s safety rating always correct? No. The explanations and risk ratings are educational aids produced by an AI system, not a security audit. They can be wrong or incomplete. Always verify anything important independently before you approve or sign a transaction.
